AA Waste is based in Woking, Surrey, Chard, Somerset and Southampton, Hampshire. From these bases we provide a UK national collection, disposal and recycling service for aerosols every year for companies and authorities across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
AA Waste prefer to use recycling routes over landfill. All aerosol sprays are recyclable. Therefore, along with our business partners, we use recycling routes to deal with them. Our UK national service covers the collection disposal and recycling of all aerosols whether they are partly used or empty. Our disposal and recycling service complies with the hazardous waste regulations 2005. Aerosols are classed as hazardous waste because they contain flammable propellants and harmful or toxic products. They must be segregated from your general waste stream for specialist disposal. Empty and used aerosols should all be treated in the same way. The recycling process involves the separation and collection of propellants, liquids and metal casing for recycling. The recycling actions taken with used and empty aerosols alike, makes our recycling service successful from both environmental and cost perspectives.
