AA Waste are experts in the collection, disposal and recycling of all types of chlorinated solvents.
Chlorinated Solvent Collection, Disposal and Recycling
AA Waste is based in Woking, Surrey, Chard, Somerset and Southampton, Hampshire. From these bases we provide a UK national collection, disposal and recycling service for chlorinated solvents every year for companies across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
AA Waste prefer to use recycling routes over landfill. Therefore, along with our business partners, we use recycling routes where possible to deal with this particular type of waste. Our UK national service covers the collection disposal and recycling of chlorinated solvents and contaminated rags. Our disposal and recycling service complies with the hazardous waste regulations 2005. Chlorinated Solvents are classed as hazardous waste and must be segregated from your general waste stream for specialist disposal. AA Waste are able to provide a recycling service for many different types of chlorinated solvents, this includes methylene chloride (dichloromethane) and trichloroethylene. The recycling actions which are taken with chlorinated solvents, makes our disposal and recycling service successful from both environmental and cost perspectives.
Once we have collected your waste chlorinated solvents, they are taken to a fully licenced transfer station where they are tested for solvents and the degree of contamination. If the wastes are single solvents and only lightly contaminated they will be sent to a solvent reclamation plant which will redistill them back to clean products. If the solvents are mixed and heavilly contaminated they will be sent for high temperature incineration.
