AA Waste is a UK based company with expertise in hazardous waste collection and the safe disposal of wee, chemical, laboratory (lab smalls), hazardous (haz waste) and special waste. These services can only be offered and completed for any customer that is registered with the Environment Agency as a producer of waste under the Hazardous Waste Regulations of 2005. This registration is a yearly registration. As of the 16th July 2005 it is an offence for hazardous waste to be collected from a site that has not been registered unless the particular site is exempt. The registration details are required by law for the consignment note before any collection can go ahead. Any customer who is not registered with the Environment Agency as a producer of waste is actually commiting an offence merely by producing the waste.
The registration is not just a company registration. The regulations stipulate that each site that produces hazardous waste has to have a separate registration although multiple sites can be registered on the same notification. Therefore a head office could register all its sites centrally, but each site would have a separate unique registration number and require a separate fee.
AA Waste offer the service of dealing with this registration on the customer's behalf. This service includes the monitoring of the registration. When the registration is due for renewal, AA Waste make contact with the customer, make them aware their registration is due for renewal and get permission to deal with the renewal.
This service gives the customer peace of mind, knowing that their registration will not be forgotten, leaving them liable to a large fine from the Environment Agency.
