AA Waste Can dispose of fridges, freezers, chillers, display cabinets, cold room panels and air conditioning units. Equipment contaminated with refrigerants, oils or containing ozone depleting foam will normally be classed as Hazardous Waste and require dealing with under the Hazardous Waste Regulations of 2005.
AA Waste are licensed by the Environment Agency and the Environment and Heritage Service as a contractor, therefore can deal with all the necessary documentation, collection and processing of your waste in accordance with all current legislation.
AA Waste prefer to use recycling routes over landfill. Fridges, freezers, chillers, display cabinets, cold room panels and air conditioning units all have recyclable components, therefore along with our business partners we use a recycling route to deal with them. AA Waste will collect your fridges, freezers, chillers, display cabinets, cold room panels and air conditioning units. They are taken to a fully licensed transfer station, where our business partners store them until such time as there is a large enough quantity, they are then shipped to a processing plant where they are dismantled, the hazardous components separated and treated appropriately. The remaining material is recycled. This makes our fridge and freezer service extremely successful from both environmental and cost perspectives.
