Zinc air batteries are normally a 1.4 volt battery and as the name suggests it must be exposed to the air. When first used you would normally have to break a seal. This battery has a high self-discharge rate. Zinc air batteries are a recyclable battery. AA Waste will collect your spent zinc air batteries and take them to a fully licensed recycler where the recycling process begins.
